Rosevelt was licensed for breeding in Denmark and Sweden
and became a stallion performance test winner in those Scandinavian countries. He also participated in the 2006 Hanoverian Young Horse Championships. He was competed by Hans Peter Minderhoud at the 2007 World Young Horse Championships in Verden, where they finished fifth in the 5 Year Old Finals. Rosevelt has numerous offspring competing
at FEI levels in Europe.
His sire, Rotspon, has sired 29 licensed sons and 122 states premium mares in Germany. He was the reserve champion of the 1997 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing, where the state stud Celle acquired him. Rotspon went on to win the 1998 300-day stallion performance test (HLP) in Adelheidsdorf with an overall score of 145.67 points. He scored a dressage index of 148.72 points and 118.74 points for show jumping. He was awarded
Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2017 at a special ceremony held at the 2017 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden, Germany.
Rosevelt's dam sire, Lauries Crusador xx has been one of the most influential Thoroughbred stallions for German Warmblood
breeding. He sired 2,713 foals of which 264 mares became state premium and 55 sons were licensed.  His most renowned licensed offspring include Londonderry, Lancier, Laurentio, Longchamp, and Heslegards Louis. In 2006, the Hanoverian society proclaimed a non-Hanoverian stallion for the first time Stallion of the Year.
