Pericles 2001 - 2020 Rest in Peace
A refining sire for breeders of sport...
Pericles was a Thoroughbred Stallion by Silver Deputy, out of Cream Sickle by Rich Cream. While in training with Todd Pletcher, Pericles broke his maiden in a 2 y/o $50k 6 furlong Maiden Special at Keeneland. He was also nominated in 2004 for the Triple Crown. WHE purchased Pericles in 2007 and retired him sound.

He stood 16h and exemplified modern sport horse characteristics. His quiet and confident temperament was passed on to his progeny time after time. Three high quality gaits and stunning conformation made him suitable for hunter and dressage breeders. He crossed nicely with Draft mares for fox hunting and Arabian mares for Arabian sport horse divisions.
